Spring has sprung…

…the daffodils are in bloom, the birds and the bees are falling in love again and yup….it’s absolutely freezing out there.  Never mind, summer will be here soon and then it’ll be time for home-made cloudy lemonade, strawberries and cream and afternoon tea in the garden.

For now though, why not cuddle up with a nice hot cup of tea and this week’s Weekly Bake from The English Baker…

Honey Glazed Orange and Almond Rolls – similar to the Chelsea Buns but with a lovely sticky orange and almond filling instead of the cinnamon and raisins.

And for the enduring scone fans out there, of course…

Scones and clotted cream – either plain or wholemeal, with or without raisins, they freeze beautifully – if you really think you can manage not to eat them straight away. Just warm them through in the oven for a little taste of English paradise any time!
